The Pirates have followed up a series win against a very good Dodgers team with a split with the Mariners. This closes out a very tough June, and the schedule becomes much more favorable going forward. Sitting only 3.5 games out of the final wild card spot, this season is far from over.
One of the things we talked about on the latest episode of Bucco Talk was how the Pirates should handle pitching prospect Tyler Glasnow. Glasnow has struggled with his command in his time in Indianapolis, but has a 1.70 ERA and is striking out 10.5 batters per 9 innings. These are very impressive numbers, but consideration needs given to the fact that he’s also walking 5.1 batters per 9 innings. You should absolutely listen to the latest Bucco Talk to hear our discussion about this, but we’d also love to hear your input.
When should Tyler Glasnow be called up?

The Pirates head to Oakland for a 3 game set starting Friday. The Athletics are struggling mightily this year, so this could be a good series to provide a boost. If you have any questions for the Bucco Talk crew, you can post them in the comments below. We will answer them on the upcoming podcast Sunday night.
